| About the Artist |
| Adriana Repetto Mead is a greater-Boston based classical musician and artist who has been designing and creating jewelry for about ten years. The primary inspiration for her work is the nuance of colors as found in nature, art and music. They influence not only her blending of gemstones and precious metals, but also her sense of shape and dimension which leans, unapologetically, towards the classic rather than the contemporary. Adriana expresses that inspiration using fine & sterling silver,14k gold and vermeil with precious and semi- precious stones & freshwater pearls. Her metal work comprises wrapping techniques in sterling as well as hammered and fired designs in fine silver. She designs all of her pieces and creates them herself keeping each design one-of-a-kind or a limited edition. Each year, Adriana chooses her gemstones and supplies with great care, visiting major trade shows in the U.S. and buying directly from respected suppliers in Israel, Australia, England and the Far East. Her designs are painstakingly created with attention to precise wiring technique, color balance and innovation, with an eye for detail. She is a member of the Newton Art Association and the organizer of a yearly December juried crafts show in Boston’s Copley Square. In 2008, she was awarded 1st Place, Best in Fair, by the Rotary Club of Middleboro, MA. |
